Bringing a few of the top spring trends of 2022 into and outside your home. 

1. Sustainability – Reuse and repurpose is a trend that’s here to stay. I love this. It makes it so easy to “shop at home first” and use what you have as inspiration. Maybe it’s a Tiffany lamp from your Aunt Shirley or a wood console handed down from your parents. Find the perfect place for that and refresh from there. 

2. A Welcoming Entry – Remember this is what greets you and your guests’ home. Make it styled and welcoming. I always like a mirror and some creative storage to keep those not-so-pretty but must-haves, like a dog leash, out of sight. 

3. Landscape Art – To make it a more modern look, I favor slightly abstract and vibrant colors. The most important is finding a scene that inspires you. I have decorated with beach, mountain, and sunset prints, all chosen specifically for my clients “happy place.” 

4. A Renewed Focus on Nature – Colors and materials derived from the outdoors throughout the home. They are calming. Neutrals, woodsy tomes, including creams, beige, blues, and greens. Similarly, baskets woven from natural materials. Wood bamboo will be more prominent than synthetic materials. 

5. Easy Access Storage Solutions – These are needed to keep up with our fast-paced life. This is about doing our homework harder for us. Pull-out trash bins, charging stations, and drawers are replacing cupboards. 

6. Entertaining-Ready Spaces – During COVID-19, we focused on private spaces. As our country begins to open, we shift toward areas for entertaining. We are currently working on an elaborate coffee station for a client as well as a built-in bar with sliding front doors to close it off when it’s not needed.
