Inspiring Homeowners with Beautiful Designs
A Note from Meg
“It is my belief that we are happiest when surrounded by things that we love which hold meaning for us. My favorite part of being an interior designer is that I get to help my clients experience that particular happiness in their homes and businesses.
“I love the time at the beginning of a project – when we're just starting to work with one another. I learn what's most important to you. I hear your unique story, where you come from and how you arrived where you are. It’s like the beginning of any relationship, really, there’s so much to discover about each other, and I really do love developing friendships with my clients. I am emotionally invested in finding the best for them. My advice considers their likes and dislikes, their comfort with change, their budget, their wants and needs, and their feelings about family, hearth and home. I help my clients express themselves – their past, present, and future – and to imprint that on their living space is a thrill for me.
“My love of interior design is not new. I’ve decorated several homes for my family because we’ve moved so often! When work took us to the far east for more than a dozen years, first to Japan and later to China, it was important to me that my family have a comfortable nest in each new place, but also that we immersed ourselves in the culture and “vibe” of our new home. Weaving the story, we brought with us with the culture that surrounded us has been a challenge I have relished wherever we’ve lived. I often ended up helping other expatriate friends design their spaces, too, and those collaborations sparked something in me.
“So… when I returned to the US, I made my passion my profession.”
