About Meg

Mary Ellen “Meg” Labaziewicz’s interest in interior design began a long time ago, originating from her desire to create deeply personal, relaxing, and functional homes for her own family as they moved several times, including living 12 years in Asia. In 2016, after years of putting her special mark on the many spaces for family and friends all around the world, Meg made her design acumen available to clients.

Meg brings a unique combination of design skills and financial savvy to every project. A graduate of the Interior Design Institute, coupled with her 13 years in financial planning at AMEX and Citibank (NYS), Meg has developed a unique approach to recommending custom design solutions while keeping her eye on the budget. Her designs are beautiful and personal; the elements and materials are creatively sourced; and the bottom line holds no surprises.

Meg’s recent projects include decorating the offices of an international corporation, designing two new local businesses, redesigning several local residences, and staging several local realtors’ listings.

When Meg is not creating beautiful environments, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Peter, their two children, and their dog. Together, they love to travel the world, indulge in great food, and go on various adventures with friends.

What Meg Says

“My love of interior design is not new. I’ve decorated several homes for my family because we’ve moved so often! When work took us to the far east for more than a dozen years, first to Japan and later to China, it was important to me that my family have a comfortable nest in each new place, but also that we immersed ourselves in the culture and “vibe” of our new home. Weaving the story, we brought with us with the culture that surrounded us has been a challenge I have relished wherever we’ve lived. I often ended up helping other expatriate friends design their spaces, too, and those collaborations sparked something in me.

So… when I returned to the US, I made my passion my profession.”
